I think I've found a relative in the 1901 census that I thought would
still have been living in Romania at the time. But I can't read the
entry properly. I would welcome your opinions as to what it says for
occupation and wife's name.
Name (transcription error): Jacob JANKOVITER (actually Jankovitch)
Registration district: St George in the East
Sub-registration district: St George North
ED, institution, or vessel: 9
Household schedule number: 187
Source Citation: Class: RG13; Piece: 310; Folio: 120; Page: 35.

Occupation: Harness Maker (4 pages earlier there are two of them listed
together where the heavy marking has gone through "Maker" instead of
through "Harness".)
Wife looks like Amilia, which is what the Ancestry transcriber thought
as well.

I know what I *want* it to say! :-)
