telegram from australia

My ggf emigrated to australia (possibly about 1910) leaving behind my
grandmother and her mother.Before they could join him, they recieved a
telegram to say he had died out there.(this may not have been true.....)

How can i find out this information?

Where was the telegram sent from ? , Why do you think it
might not have been true ? His name would help,age and
occupation would help :-) And you really should post this

Do you know where in Australia he went to... town, state?

New South Wales & Victoria have BMD indexes online, other states have
microfiche or cd's.

If you post his name, Aussies readers can look at the indexes we have access
to.
