If this marriage happened in Scotland, I suggest that you go to Scotlands
People and have a look for the marriage. Of course, the names are not rare,
so you may have to work out how you're going to pinpoint the people you
want. Do you have their ages? That'll also be on the marriage cert and will
help. Leonard isa a pretty rare name among scots, so maybe you'll find that
it's the forename of one of the 2 fathers. Also, check the 1861 census at
the same site.
Peter, Lot 55, PEI
I have no idea what this means.
Once you have a rough idea of the area in Scotland they came from, then you
can check the 1851 census and see if you can fins a family with 3 sons with
these forenames.

possibly Pictou County. John had a
brother, Peter, Lot 55, PEI perhaps
another brother, Duncan.
John & Margaret had a son, Leonard,
b. March 12, 1869-73. Supposedly,
John died ca. 1873-76 and Margaret
ca. 1880-84. Leonard then went to
his uncle, Peter, and ran away at
the age of approximately12. Peter
had 8 children.
Anyone having any recall of these
people, please reply. I have been
trying for years to get some records
and will sure appreciate any info
at all. Thanks so very much, Peg
