I am researching the Frededick Alfred FORDON, I have him born in the
Hereford area in 1823.

Should that be 'Frederick'?
|
To date he is not listed anywhere, except Australia where he is listed on
IGI.
His sons birth cert in Australia lists he was born in Hereford UK about

A name for the son would still be a great help. If he can be found he
can be tracked back to find Frededick/Frederick. Plus anything else you
know, like when (even approximately) they went to Oz, would help narrow
the search.
Could you also clarify what you mean by "His sons birth cert in
Australia"? . I have never seen a UK birth certificate (though the
'older sweats' here may correct me) that only gives an approximate year
of birth.

Which would make Fred 14 years old when his son was born. Seems a tad
too young and raises a doubt that your dates are valid.
The son's name might have helped as if you have his birth certificate
that is the one piece of reliable information to base a search upon.

I feel that we have had this question within the past 8 weeks.
Think Archives.
I have not the time.

I have :-) So a quick check did reveal a similar thread where the offers
of help did not seem that well received. That plus the conflicting
information (son born in 1837, then 1873 then 1870) inclines me to drop
it.

1837.

I'm slightly confused too.
Is 1873 the supposed birth year of the son, or of the father, Frederick
Alfred FORDON ?
Does the Hereford information come from an Austalian birth certificate?
Best wishes

Any ideas on how to find him would be appreciated
