Astral Voyager...
Help needed in deciphering the residence of the couple at marriage. The
male's is Barningham in Suffolk. The female's I cannot read but is expected
to be also in Suffolk.

Anyone familiar with Suffolk locations able to recognise what the place name

Peter Goodey...
It looks supiciously similar to the word in the top left of the image
(partly cut off) which I guess is St Matthew's.

Astral Voyager...
I think you are right. I missed it as I have never seen a parish name in
that field before. It has always been an actual place name on documents I
have seen - sometimes even a full address.

Thank you (and Anne) for the point in the right direction.

And of course it is traditional for the marriage to take place in the
bride's parish,,,

Anne Chambers...
I think you're right :)

is?

A.Lefevre...
My guess would be BARMING LANE. A street in Ipswich. But just a guess.

Astral Voyager...
Thanks but it was the female's residence I was after. The answer, as you may
have seen, has been given. It was the parish of St. Matthews - which I had
failed to spot.

The male's is actually the village of 'Barningham' in Suffolk. The
Bloomfields are a part of my maternal line and I am familiar with where they
pop up.

It looks as though it ends in 'thorn' - there's a Suffolk Gazeteer here
