octiger...
Hope this is not regarded as a commercial posting for Ancestry, but SKS
on a mailing list pointed out this feature, which is new to me. Ancestry
subscription required of course.

I found page downloads MUCH quicker using Firefox rather than IE, but
maybe that's because of something in my IE set-up.

Charani...
I can't use Ancestry at all. It won't hold my log in and every time I
try to refine a search I get taken to the registration screen and it
loops on that. I've been on to them about it to no avail
unfortunately.

Hugh Watkins...
it needs cookies and likes MS IE 6 best

Charani...
Cookies are allowed but I don't use IE. Still it's no loss because
while everyone is rushing over to Ancestry, it frees up 1837online and
FreeBMD

Jill...
FreeBMD seems to have completely fallen over
and so has ANcestry

Charani...
FreeBMD seems to working OK now. It may have fallen over because of
the extra weight of traffic caused by the Beeb's programme

Tids...
I notice already the timescale for certificates is longer
than it has been :-(

Charani...
I'm not too surprised. When's the series due to end?

Tids...
End of Feb....so with any luck the novelty
will have worn off by April.

Charani...
Thanks. Hopefully it will have. There'll be a few new members of
FH+GA, of course, which is good but the fair weather ones will have
gone. In the meantime, I'll just make sure that any certificates I
order won't be ones I desperately need.

Jill...
Aye
They were all over the place last night
At least it means folks are looking things up - not sitting there expecting
things to fall into their laps!
:~)

Charani...
And that can be no bad thing since there is a fair bit that's
available online. To be fair, it can be a bit daunting sometimes when
faced with trying to navigate a new site for the first time.

Jill...
Sorry - I was being fascetious in light of recent comments here

Charani...
Mine was in the same vein

Jeff...
I looked at a couple of years 1968/9 and found the "S"s
wrongly indexed.
