Anyone heard of this job? I've just started on the 1851 Census and found two
daughters of John Hornsey whose employment is given as Euknimidia Maker.
The male members of the family and one other daughter are in the boot &
shoe industry. I've tried dictionaries and Wikipedia without success.

Are you absolutely sure you are reading it correctly? I'd get a
magnifying glass, compare the letters with others on the same page
and rethink, if I were you. What part of the country is it?
