From the Society of Radiographers (SoC) with considerable difficulty I found
that the radiographer lady I was searching for qualified in the U.K.in
November 1950. Her name was Mary F. Lacey. My last contact with her was in
1957, and she was not then married, though she mentioned a boy friend, but
not his name. Whether she married later, him or someone else, I simply don't

I think one problem you face is that people are reluctant to
help too much here. I'm sure your motives are totally
honourable but there is a reluctance to get involved in
tracing someone who may still be alive.

Jeff: I certainly would like to know if she is still alive.
Indeed, I HOPE she is still alive. Is this any reason not
to help us make contact after these many years? I hope
not! Of course, if found, I would be very careful not to
make contact unless the wish came from her. I was good
friends with her and her family way back in the fifties,
visited them many times, so why would she not wish to
reestablish contact and recall "old times"?

Please don't misunderstand. I'm sure you are genuine. But I
got bitten once helping someone who seemed OK but was not.

know.
Because it then took two years study to qualify, and because one had to be
at least 18 to start, I assume she was born before October 1930. On the1837
site I found a birth of a Mary F. Lacey in 1928. This seems likely to be
she.
But how to find her now - if still with us? If she married, her name would
have changed, which makes the search difficult if not impossible. I have
been trying to worm out of the SoC her married name, if she married and
continued to practice as a radiographer - so far without success. I am also
searching marriages on the 1837 site.
But if she did not marry, or at least up to the time she did marry, should
she show up on other places? Voter rolls? Helpful suggestions appreciated.
If alive today, she would be an older lady.
I have not kept her name private in case someone here knows her, and could
put her in touch with me.
