Hi Folks,
A question if I may please.
My mother was born in Nelson Street Wrexham in November 1922, which
church would be the most likely to have been the choice of her parents
to have held the baptism in please?
As my email system has crashed would any group member replying please
reply to list or to sage1957@fastmail.fm

The nearest church to Nelson Street would have beem St John's Church on
Kingsmills Road, just opposite. However, this church was demolished a
few years ago. I think the Parish Church (St Giles) is also a possibility.

From my perspective they are all the same :-)

she may have been christened in their chapel. Used to be in Hope Street[1]
but I think it may have moved before 1922.
[1] Roughly where the Talbot pub is next to Dolland & Aitcheson.

Unitarians don't do infant baptism.
It's my only grudge against my numerous Unitarian ancestors who were
otherwise a most delightful crowd ....:-)
