Robert G. Eldridge...
If any reader has any publication to hand giving details for English
Church ministers I would appreciate any details available for
John Adams ELDRIDGE, born circa 1815 Oxford, Oxfordshire.

A. Jones...
Besides the details already supplied, "Alumni Oxonienses" (Oxford graduates
list) alleges that he was the youngest son of Samuel Adams Eldridge of Mary
Magdalen, Oxford (City), gent. John matriculated at Worcester College on 3
Nov 1836 aged 21.

When he married in 1844 at Hornsea, York he was shown as a Clerk son
of Samuel Eldridge, a gent.

In 1851 he was Vicar at Sutton and from 1861 he was Vicar at Bishop
Wilton. He died in 1905.

CWatters...
So you will probably have seen this..

The living is a vicarage, in the gift of the Dean and Chapter of York, and
held by the Rev. John Adams Eldridge, M.A., Worcester College, Oxford, since
1857. It is worth £300 per annum, including 105 acres of glebe, with
residence.

I'm trying to locate him in the 1841 census and I'm looking for any
clues as to his whereabouts or any other details available.
