This challenge is open to people with access to English census images,
not just on Ancestry.
The 1871 census has a family at Gateshead, Durham reference
RG10/5054 fol 69 pg 3 that looks like:
Peter Mc Grade 48 head married born Ireland labourer iron foundry
Mary Mc Grade 46 wife married born Ireland fruit seller
Mary Mc Grade 22 dau unmarried born Newcastle servant
Ann Mc Grade 16 dau born Newcastle servant
Catherine Mc Grade dau 13 born Newcastle
Bigger Mc Grade son 1 1/2 born Newcastle
Now I'm not so concerned if I have this census transcribed correctly.
The challenge is to find the family in the 1861 census.
First prize is my eternal thanks.
A bonus prize is being sought for finding the family in 1881.
Ready .... set ..... GO

Tried everything I could think of, Robert, but no luck.

Interestingly, the surname McGrade, whilst common in Scotland, is
practically unknown in C19th England
