Mary Maud Pash lookup

Can anyone help me find Mary Maud Pash. Marries my great grandfather, Samuel
Messenger, in June 1863 and then dies sometime between 1885 and 1890, when
he marries again. I can find no record of either event. There could be a
connection with a Barbara Mary Pash, born 1867 in Tendring.

What does the marriage certificate say about her parentage?

Pash is such an unusual name that it would be remarkable if there were
no connection. Barbara disappears after 1881, so I'm guessing that
Barbara Mary and Mary Maud are one and the same. Perhaps the name
change because she was marrying as a minor (without consent?).
Barbara's parents only married in 1866, so Maud's not a sister (and not
in the family group in 1871). I can't see any candidates for Maud in
1871 or 1881, so something is wrong here.
