Lesley Robertson...
I've been wandering around the "Other resources" bits of Scotlands People
and found (in their free-to-use section) a collection of notes written on

Alison Causton...
...

And here's my favourite, without having been through the whole thing:

" ... a scoundrall a knave a scrub a rascall a villain a cheat ... "

I can fair hear it spoken ;-), and not a few would be flattered ;-)))).

parish registers by assorted people... Some of them are hilarious (eg a note
pointing out that a child was baptised a week before it's birth), some are
simply judgemental (eg "Forgetfulness is no excuse"). A good reminder of the
frailty of the record-keepers we rely on.
It's well-worth a read, even if you have no scottish ancestors:

Lesley Robertson...
This one is probably my favourite. It's a baptismal record (of sorts):
"Something - George Something lawful son to what-ye-call-him in Mains of
Barskimming was baptized April 9th 1704. (Ochiltree, 1704 OPR 609/1. page
9)"

Saffy...
I was just about to post the same thing Lesley. One of the others I liked
was the son named Alfornothing.

Thanks yor posting the link.
