A work colleage has been persuaded by his wife to try and track down his
long lost Dad who emigrated to Australia in early 1960's.
He was born Michael Alfred Ernest Ford (dob 27/07/1938) in England so would
be (if still alive) approx 68. Anybody know of any online resources for
Australia that might allow a search such as online phone directories or
Electorial rolls?
Any help and suggestions gratefully accepted

also suggest subbing to soc.genealogy.australia+nz.

But also note that if you use the "White Pages" residential search,
you also have to search by both metropolitan and regional area (ie
State capital and country).

The Electoral Rolls aren't online as far as I know and searching from
60s would be a big job and especially if you don't know which State he

to do this method. Any idea what vessel he may have used to migrate?
Taht often helps.

Try passenger lists eg

I've not had to try to find anyone migrating this late so cannot give
very good help here.

traced
