Thormham, Lancs.

Does anyone know anything about a Thormham in Lancashire?

I have a family that in the 1881, 1891 and 1901 census are living in
Middleton, Lancs and all family member's birthplaces are given as
Middleton.

Prior to that (1851, 1861 and 1871) they are still living in Middleton
but consistently give their birthplace as Thormham, Lancs. I have been
unable to find any Thormham in Lancashire. The only real reference to a
Thormham seems to be HMS Thormham.

Any Lancashire Lads able to point me in the right direction for
Thormham?

Well this Cestrian Lass can point you in the right direction for
Thornham, which was a parish within Middleton.

There's a ThorNham in Lancs- might it be a typo/ mistranscription ?
