Top/Bottom Posting OE

Don't worry - I'm not trying to restart the debate.

But I've found it annoying that OE top posts reply by
default.

I just found a fix (maybe most people knew this already??)

I'm not sure what OE does at that point, or what that particular thingy does
or is supposed to fix. I know Hotmail puts one's sig at the top, which is
annoying. If OE put the sig at the top it would be equally annoying.

The cursor should appear at the top of ther quoted reply, so that one can go
down replying to points that need a response and snipping those that don't.

I think according to netiquette that we are supposed to remove the signature
(ie bit at the bottom - the email address is given), so if one does this by
habit that will then place the cursor at the bottom.

The excuse then for posting at the top seems to be that the post is rattled
off without a moment's thought. Well a moment's thought might lead to more
considered posts!

Who's rattled your cage? As someone once said - a period of silence on your
part would be welcome! (Clement Atlee actually). Clearly you have not taken
to heart the fact that someone has announced that they are leaving the group
because of you. I don't think they mind the discussion it is the bitter tone
of your comments.
