Wee Peem...
Hi there,

Just come across this slightly unusual name. Sarah Ann Feber (nee PHIDIAM)

Not sure it its even the correct spelling

Eve McLaughlin...
Phidian is more usual.

'Fran'...
have you looked at this for a variation 'PHYTHIAN'

heaps of them in Lancashire - check this site

and on the 1881 census

Its the maiden name for a relative of mine born in Oldham abt 1854.

I cant seem to find any other occurances of this name around Oldhma.

Anyone shed any light on this???

Liz...
My gt gt aunt married a FIDDIAN from Birmingham area. The name seems to
get lots of (mis)spellings including PH for F.
