Royal Pedigree question

I've been asked to ask the British experts if they know of a *very*
complete ancestors chart or list for the current Prince of Wales. One
of his ancestors was a von Ahlefeldt lady. Was her father Gregor von
Ahlefeldt (1577-1617)? Does her father's lineage go back another
generation or two? My friend is looking for info on Gert Philipp von
Ahlefeldt (1611-1666) Holstein or Schleswig, whom he believes to be a
brother of the Royal Ancestor.

On-line suggestions are fine, brick'n'mortar are fine, particularly if
they're in Germany, where he plans to be in a week or so.

This is a fairly extensive list I know of
Doesn't mention that surname at all..... Which branch is she supposed to be
on?

Another good source that doesn't mention 'von Ahlefeldt' is:

Thanks, I'll pass it on. I dunno which branch ... The chart he showed
me started with Gert's generation and came down two; Gert was several
younger than the Ancestress. For that matter I don't know how he knows
she's in the line ... But, given his reputation, I figured I could
trust him on it. (g)

A few years back, the quality / comprehensiveness of the Hull data was
questioned on soc.genealogy.medieval. I am not aware of whether any
corrections have been put in place or not.

Have you looked at

which has a page of people listed under "von Ahlefeldt" but not the one you
are looking for. Leo van der Pas' database is excellent for mediaeval
European genealogy.

Do you have the lineage from Charles to this von Ahlefeldt person? Perhaps,
this needs to be checked / double-checked??

I assume he has it; it wasn't on what he showed me. Thanks for the
suggestion.
