I'm with you, Lesley!! And the next night, let's do up a rich Port with a
plate of Stilton, candied ginger, cashews or chestnuts, and ... truffles.
Hehe.

You're on! Particularly as I'm in the mood to celebrate. Purely because I
felt sorry for a colleague who's being made redundant, I accepted a bundle
of 19th century photos and papers he'd been collecting (relevant to his
department, not mine) for safe keeping in my archive. On examination, the
bundle included a copy of the inaugural address of our own first Professor -
the one publication of his I've never found!
Moral of this story - NEVER turn a gift bundle of old papers away.....

Now, that is exciting news and worthy of a toast.

Have you found the ghost yet? Aldwych station I think.
There's a photo somewhere, I think it's on that site, of him standing at
the end of a platform staring down the tunnel.
Happy hunting/haunting! :-)

I saw the pic - assumed it was someone who'd wandered/been posed for part of
the time of a very long exposure photograph... I've made some similar ones
of kneeling figures in a church... It's effective, isn't it.

I have to agree that you must be correct, my feelings also, but it is nice
to speculate and there are few thing more creepy than an empty abandoned
Tube station. :-)
