Robert D KNIFE b c 1860

Can anyone find the birth registration of Robert D KNIFE please?

Aye :)) And he's got brothers in law with the surnames KITCHEN,
BUTTER and SHARPE and a sister in law with the maiden surname of
FAWKES

I've gone through 1837online with no success but I have found all his
siblings.

I have him on the 1861 census but that's scrambled with regards to
names and ages. According to the 1871, he's 10 and born in Wapping
(Stepney RD, now Tower Hamlets). He's married in the 1881 and gives
his age as 22 and his birth place as Wapping. I can't find him in
1891 or 1902.

There is a pedigree file on familysearch that lists Robert as Robert
Dawson KNIFE, but the submitter only gives a date of birth as 1860>.

It also gives the father as Thomas Knife and mother as Jane Elizabeth Short
so you probably have this already.

Does he show up in later census?

Tower Hamlets need the year of birth to issue a certificate but that's
