Hi....would someone be so kind as to look up SAMUEL H. TRENHAM in the 1891
census. He married in Fulham in 1885. That's all I know of him. A
transcription would be fine.

Thanks.....mary lou

Anne Chambers...
There's a Samuel H TRENHAM in 1871 son in law (transcribed as
sister-in-law!) age 30, RN Engineer officer retired b St Ann's Soho
Wife Catherine RMA (presumably was DAVIES, she is daughter and the head
was DAVIES) - is this him ?
(Caroline RMA died 1883,so he could well be remarrying in 1885)

However, searching for a male b 1840/41 Soho doesn't bring up anything
likely.

Hi Anne...many thanks for checking. Yes, this was the man...Catherine was
his first wife. Perhaps he left for Australia between his marriage in 1885
and the 1891 census.

Appreciate it!

Anne Chambers...
In 1881 Catherine TRENHAM (enumerated as Caroline RM) is on her own
(with children) as 'wife of marine engineer', so he went back to sea.

no sign of any of the children in 1891

I cannot off the top of my head remeber the URLs, but there are quite a
few passenger lists to Australia online - Victoria and NSW in
particular. web-search should find them.
