Has anyone found a bug in the Ancestry search screen? When searching for a
person in England you arrive at the exact search screen. Then carry on to
select an item to check. If you use the back button to get back to the Exact
Search screen it shows England but the drop down list is for Canadian
Provinces. You have to reselect England to get English counties . Have
contacted ancestry about that but I got a stock answer
'What you see is not a bug. It is a new addition to the site so that you
can search more than just the UK.'

I don't know but they are breaking the site with monotonous regularity
with "improvements" at the moment. For a couple of days this week
searches of the clone of FreeBMD data yielded only the most basic Volume
number of the book and district - the line containing the Page number
and link was stuck underneath a dirty great fat "Start a tree with this
person" button. It is fixed again now.

I knew you could do that anyway . Written to them again to diagree with them

I have seen it ignore relevant data when you put a county in as a
constraint in the "County" box - but it works OK if you put the County
name in the Other Keywords box.
