I found one of my ancestors living with a servant called

roy...
But not especially uncommon. There are 135 entries in the 1881
census index for people called MULARKY or MULLARKEY, but all spelt
with a "U" rather than an "A".

Actually Roy, you're right.....it is spelt with a U
