Advanced Search Census 1851 England
=46irst Name: william
Last name: lenton
Residence town: oundle
Gender: male
D.O.B. 1811 (+/-0)
Birthplace: kimbolton

Search list gives the man as top of results list.
View record and then select 'view other family members'.

I get a body count of 28 !

Viewing the image sorts out the family of my man, but looking where
all these 'family members' are enumerated just gives random pages in
the piece.

The Lenton family have 9 entries on page 37, 3 on page 38. (Head plus
11 =3D 12 in total). So far so good but Ancestry have managed to put
the following into the Lenton family:
Askam s from page 6, (Head pus 6 =3D 7 in total).
Leal s from page 21 (Head plus 2 =3D 3 in total).
Whyman s from page 65 (Head plus 1 =3D 2 in total).
Wooley s from page 20 (Head plus 3 =3D 4 in total).

Anyone care to offer a way to report this that would have a good
chance of Ancestry fixing it.?

I can see what's happened - even though it's not supposed to!

The main part of your family are in:
Folio 132
Page 37
Household Schedule 23

I have always assumed that, in order to list the other family members, it
matches all three of these fields. In the case you cite, it has *only*
matched the Household Schedule field (apart from the fact that they are all
in Oundle). All the erroneous ones have a Household Schedule number of 23 -
even though they have completely different Folio/Page combinations.

I don't know whether that will help you to report it - at least it should
tell them where to look!
