Perplexed...
I have gg grandparents Thomas Wyl(l)ie and Jean or Jane Morton. IGI lists
two marriages on the same date, one at Craigie by Kilmarnock and the other
at Kilmaurs.

I would appreciate advice on whether these are likely to be for the same
couple and just transcription changes on the location.

Are the locations close to each other?

Thanks all

Halmyre...
It could be that the bride is from one parish and the groom from the
other. The wedding banns would be read in both parishes.

Ken Gibb...
You
had better in future read thru' ALL the entry in IGI.
Explanation.
CRAIGIE is an EXTRACTED entry.
KILMAURS is an LDS Patron SUBMISSION.

If you are not aware Patron Submissions are 20 % correct, mostly
guesses or"I" like it better MY way.
As the dates are correct I assume the latter.

CRAIGIE is few "K" south of Kilmarnock.
KILMAURS " " "K" north " "
