Robert G. Eldridge...
If any reader has access to marriages in the Dec quarter 1937 and can
look up to see if a James Thomas Eldridge is shown I would appreciate

CWatters...

If you don't get a response, then check whether the
Newcastle LDS FHC holds the GRO indexes, many
FHCs do.

Charani...
There's nowt in the March qtr of 1938 either.

There's a James L T = Rose Ansell Greenwich 1d 2120 in the June qtr
of 1938 though and a James T = Doris H Russell Uxbridge 3a 366 in
the Sept qtr of 1938.

Unfortunately the Ancestries Beta of the GRO indexes jumps from the
GRO page numbered 318 (8 of 17 in Ancestry) ending in Elcock to page
number 320 (9 of 17 in Ancestry) starting at Ellenby.

Page number 319 which will contain Eldridge entries is missing.

John E Wynn...
That quarter contains a James W Eldridge but not James T.

John Wynn

When I also that page 427 containing the Eldridge entries in the Sept
quarter 1938 is also missing I then started to think it is a
conspiracy spelt as Beta .

Charani...
Who were you looking for there?

Robert G. Eldridge...
The Sep qrt 1938 looks very good as in his obit James Thomas Eldridge
is shown as having married twice with both spouses named Doris.
As it showed he first married in 1937, I was looking initially in that
year.

Uxbridge is also the reg district for Southall which is shown in the
obit as his birthplace.

"Cr Eldridge's local government career included a term on the Southall
Borough Council where, at 21, he was the youngest person ever elected
to a council in England.
At the age of 24 he was the debating champion of England."

Charani...
Sounds like he was an interesting chap :))

Thank you.

Charani...
You're welcome :))
