Gang,
I'm hoping somone on the group is feeling a little generous. I have two
relatives (aged 4 & 2) that appear not to be in the same household as the
rest of their family on the 1901 Census night, and for the life of me I've
not been able to work out who they are both staying with.
The relatives are as follows:
Name Age Where Born Administrative County Civil Parish
James Poole 4 Som Taunton Somerset St James
Within
Albert Poole 2 Som Taunton Somerset St James
Within
The family is in the same civil parish - Charles & Rachel POOLE, and their
children Daisy, George & Charles - but appear to be at a different address.
Is someone able to look up the two above relatives and find out the details
of the household they are in (names of those in household, or at least head

I suspect, in fact, that the two youngest children WILL be in the
same household but on a different page! This often turns out to be
the explanation. I imagine what you have done is the trick many of us
employ with the index (TNA version), which is to let your cursor
hover over the envelope/charge icon and note the letters and digits
that appear at the bottom of the screen, from which you have noted
that James and Albert have a different number to the rest of the
family. However, the answer may well be that the head of the
household, wife and other children are at the bottom of one page and
the two youngest appear on the next page.
An alternative explanation is that they may have been living or
staying with grandparents, an uncle and aunt, or some other relative
because their own home was over-crowded. This, too, was often the
case.

Kevin,
James (looks like Janin) aged 4 and Albert aged 2 are with the family at
2 Jubilee Street, but on the next census page.
