How do I find articles from newspapers please?

I have not used archived newspapers yet so this is a new venture for me. I
am told that my grandfather's brother died in the Sidney Street Siege in
London. I would like to read about this in an article that might also
include the names of those who died. How do I go about this? I have tried

Consult a university librarian who can guide you through
the archives and periodical literature (where professional
historians publish article-length narratives) as well as books.
If none were available I should start with one reputable
narrative (e.g. the page in Martin Gilbert's biography
of Churchill dealing with the Siege of Sidney Street)
and follow up all the sources cited.

Be forewarned that folklore associating family members with
famous events appears true less than half the time.

There is evidently a complete list published in a magazine of 10-12
years back - in the morning (later in the) I can check with the person
who mentioned this to me yesterday. Can you give me his name/surname to
reduce searching?

Liz, as it happens I have a newspaper report of the inquest, my grandfather
a fireman having found the first body. I also have a book on the story of
this, so if I can help, please contact me off-line, asap, as I'm off away in
