Peter Smith...
Could some kind soul look up the following for me please

Betsy Sherriff, born abt 1855, Birmingham, Warwickshire

I know / think she was the daughter of William Sherriff (born abt
1831) and she has a brother William who was born sometime between
1850 and 1860 ( I can't be sure and I have narrowed it down to about 5
possibles). So I am hoping he was a home when the census was taken and
not shipped out to family members

Charani...
there. It's a pay to view site but not expensive.

C Rihan...
I don't use that site so I didn't know it has the 1861 census.
A quick look shows that one of my missing families is said to be listed
on a Vessel at 'British ships in Home Ports'.
Might be worth buying some credits then!

Best wishes
C.Rihan

Peter Smith...
Yes, I have got an account with 1837online, but I have been having
trouble getting in. I have got 1837 to reset my password, this works
once and then I can't get back in again. Though I still get the 1837
newsletters.

Charani...
I've just tried it and managed to get in OK. Have you tried
registering again with a different email address??

When I was able to get access, I was not dealing with that branch of
the family, so ergo, I didn't go looking

Charani...
That's that bloke Murphy again

know about it)

Charani...
SOK :))

Incidentally she is there with William Sherriff, 30, Brazier; wife
Ellen,29; daus Ellen, 8 and Sarah 9 mths and son William, 4. All born
Birmingham, except dau Ellen who was born in London.

If your email address is good, I'll send you the image.

Peter Smith...
Hi Charani

Yes, my email is good, so if you could send me the image that would be
much appreciated.

Charani...
On its way.

As for 1837, I think I will have too, it gets a bit annoying not being
able to get in when you use to be able to get in and after I have done
that. I think I might hang around the local newsagent and await them
to throw all those 1837online £5.00 cards into the bin, before they
send the genealogy magazine back
