I would like to find ship records for the following family. I did not
find them on Castle Garden or Olive Tree. Any help would be greatly
appreciated.

John Sunderland b-abt 1801
wife: Elizabeth b-abt 1800
Children: Alan b- abt 1825, Ruben Shaw b-abt 1829, Martha b-abt 1834,
Jane b- 31 Dec 1837, Elizabeth b- abt 1840 (All children born in
England)
They would have had to come over between 1840 and Nov 1850.

1850 Census Iowa, Dubuque county: enumerated 11 Nov 1850, dwelling

You might do better checking the New Orleans passenger lists. Numerous
people cleared immigration and customs at New Orleans (Louisiana) and
went up-river by paddle-wheeler.

estate 1000, bp-England; Elizabeth-wife, age 50, bp-England; Alan, age
25, bp-England; Marth-dau, age 16, bp-England; Jane, age 13,
bp-England; Ruben Shaw, age 22, bp-England

I have no idea when they came to America. I would also like to know the

marriage date of John and Elizabeth.
I did find a birth record for Jan Sunderland: 31 Dec 1837 Walton On The

Hill, Lancashire, England.

John "Jack" Collard b- 4 Apr 1812 Yorkshire, England, He had at least
one brother name Val I think.

John Collard and Jane Sunderland got married. My information says ca
1850 Dubuque, Iowa but I have not found the marriage date yet.

1860 Census Kansas, Shawnee county, Topeka Twp: dwelling #258, family
