If you use and love a genealogy program for the mac, could you please
write a note about it? I'm switching from Gene, which only runs on OS

messed my file. With GEDitCOM I was able to clean out the garbage.
Although it took several days, because MFT created new person for each
edit, so there were several partial copies for the same individual!
It also could not handle remarriages for widows other than a single
lifetime marriage etc. I guess now these bugs are fixed.
GEDitCOM works OK within the limits of GEDCOM standard.
With it's scripting language it's possible to create your own reports or
just modify the existing formats. Check the website, it's all there.
Main problem is lack of crossreferenced table book report capability.
The "Book Format" does one individual at a time only...

I love using Gene and I have Reunion 5 as well, neither of which will
run on OSX on the new Macs so I will have to upgrade when I buy a new
Mac.
It is a great pity that David and Diana Eppstein have not rewritten
Gene to run on OSX. It creates the best family tree charts of any
genealogical program I have seen.

You are three generations behind the current version of Reunion and
there have been many great improvements that includes family tree charts.

Sad too that Apple has stopped the use of OS9 but I suppose one cannot
stop progress or the need to sell new operating programs and
applications.

Many thanks.
