Robert Lightburn...
Has anyone ever attempted a conversion from UFT to PAF? If so, what has
been your experience? I am especially interested in how to convert UFT
"text" and "evidence" to appropriate PAF field(s). TIA for any help.

Keep your life simple: manually edit the GED from UFT to make those
fields NOTES, strung together as CONC

Cheryl (who like UFT's output options, but detested the lack of speed in
data-processing)

Robert Lightburn...
Not a bad idea, thanks.

This might be useful background reading for you - an article on
"Transferring from UFT to TMG5"

(You could even get a copy of TMG and transfer to UFT to TMG and then
TMG to PAF - or possibly, more sensibly, just stick with TMG :)

Actually, I tried the free trial version of TMG. It is very good and did a
real good job of importing my UFT files. The only place where it failed was
in importing UFT's "free notes." For me TMG would be the best replacement
for UFT. However, I have already done one conversion from a company that
went belly-up and it was not a lot of fun. TMG is (again IMHO) far superior
to PAF but I expect the LDS to be around when (and if) Wholly Genes goes out
of business.
