Your internet provider (he who provides the web space for your pages)
should be able to supply instructions on how to upload. It will probably
involve you running some FTP client software on your PC. I use WS_FTP
Limited Edition which was free. I don't know if it is still available
... try searching the web for it.

Last year, I had to provide a group of netters with an FTP software
and WS FTP was no more free. Instead, it was a demo working for a
short time. I suggested instead to use FileZilla, which is fine to
use. I have from time to time a problem with switching filenames
(i.e. download filea and fileb and on the web, filea has the content
of fileb), but this happened only on a Windows server. Also, for
very large files (over 10 MB), it can be a problem. Otherwise, I
prefer by far filezilla and almost never use WS FTP anymore.
Filezilla can download and move directories for example. You can
select and download many files in one operation (but be careful
if you download from/to different directories).

You can view your webpages (before you upload) so you can see your
results right now. If you don't like what Legacy creates, you should try
other programs. Or write your own like I did.

file updated, and occasionally update the web version. I've had a few
very long lost family members appear out of the woodwork through
stumbling across the site. Useful as a reference point for others.
I've set Legacy to suppress details of alive people.
