I haven't got much experience with the features of current software (I
started with Heritage for the BBC, moved on to Pedigree, and am now
using PAF). Can anyone advise me if there is a good product (preferably
UK-specific) that allows one to be very specific about sources in terms
of the evidence of relationship links they give.

In case my meaning isn't clear, I give the following examples of
possible baptism entries:

a) John baptised, son of William and Anne.

b) John baptised, son of William.

c) John baptised.

I want to be able to cite a source not just for the baptism event, but
in different ways for each type of linkage demonstrated, i.e. that in a)
it gives the link between John and both William & Anne, in b) it only
gives the link to William (so potentially a different mother), and in c)
it gives no linkage information.

Also, is this sort of linkage citation covered by the Gedcom
specification? If not, it would appear a useful thing to include in any
future revision.

Would be glad of people's views.
