The basis for my research is notes my grandmother took in the 70s. She
wrote that my great, great, great grandparents were married in
Schwalband. Is there such a place?
I know from the Wurttembuerg emigration records that the couple in
question where from Scharenstedden and Laichingen.

Herman van der Woude...
Schwabland = Schwabenland = Schwaben, still one of the federal states
of Germany.

Joe Pessarra...
Here are the locations of the three towns, using the German town locator.

I believe that Scharenstedden is Scharenstetten.

Scharenstetten
Part of: Dornstadt
GKZ : 08 4 25 031
County : | | +---- Alb-Donau-Kreis(Ulm) {UL}
RegBez : | +------- Tübingen
Land : +--------- Baden-Württemberg
ZIP : 89160
Popul : 639
Locat : (Dornstadt) 48d28m N 9d57m E

Laichingen
GKZ : 08 4 25 071
County : | | +---- Alb-Donau-Kreis(Ulm) {UL}
RegBez : | +------- Tübingen
Land : +--------- Baden-Württemberg
ZIP : 89150
Popul : 8843
Locat : 48d30m N 9d41m E

Could not locate a Schwalband. There are 3 Schwalbach locations. But, none
of them are in Baden-Württemberg state.

What are the two surnames involved in your search?

I did mean Scharenstetten.
The family from there is Georg GLÖCKLER son of Johannes GLÖCKLER and
Margaretha SAPPER
Georg married Ursula GRASER, daugher of Peter Graser and Margaretha
REICHARD from Laichingen

listing for Dornstadt. There are 74 GLÖCKLER listings within 10 km (6
miles) of Dornstadt.

There is one SAPPER listing within 10 km of Dornstadt.

There are 10 GRASER listings in Laichingen.

There are no REICHARD listings in Laichingen, but there are 7 of them within
50 km (30 miles) of Laichingen.

Maybe some distant relatives for you to contact.

Henning Boettcher...
Dornstadt-Scharenstetten is located 12km south of Geislingen/Steige.
