There are two Lutz's in my tree. Not related to me.

Hi Carol,

thanks a lot for the information. My own Lutz family lived in
Knielingen, Baden, today part of Karlsruhe. Around 1710 the complete
family (Johann Georg Luz, born around 1668, his wife Anna Maria, the
daughter Anna, born 1697 and the son Matheus, born around 1702) moved to
Knielingen from some place in the Bamberg, Bayern area. The exact place
is unknown up to now.

So there is no relationship to your Lutz family, living in Hessen, close
to the place where I live now. :-)

Anna Catharina Lutz married Johann Heinrich Knaup on Jan 9, 1744
at Schwanheim, Hessen Darmstadt.

One of their children: Johann Ludwig Knaup b. July 2, 1754 married Eva
Maria Voltz on January 27, 1778 in Schwanheim, Hessen Darmstadt.

One of their children
Anna Catharina Elisabeth Knaup b. March 8, 1779 in Schwanheim, Hessen
Darmstadt
Married: Johann Peter Schneider.
Johann was born Oct 16, 1780 in Schwanheim.
Marriage date Sept 29, 1808 in Schwanheim.

One of their children:
Maria Apollonia Schneider b. Jan 3, 1808 Married Johann Heinrich Ritzert.
Johann was b. Jan 12, 1806. Marriage date April 21, 1836 in Schwanheim.

Johann Heinrich Ritzert was my 6th cousin, 3 times removed.
Making their children also my rellies.
