To define wether the village was in Germany or in Denmark, a little
review of the german-danish history is advisable. Though having a
svedish e-mail adress you might have heart of the fact that til the
1850ties a vast part of what is now called Schleswig-Holstein was
property of the danish crown. After the danish-german war Schleswig and
Holstein became prussian. Schleswig included a bilingual part which the
danish call Sydjytland. After WW I a poll was made (as well as in other
parts of Germany). The area around Flensburg voted for Germany, the area
around Sonderburg (with Dyppel) for Denmark. A landstripe of about 50 km
wide along the present border between the Baltic Sea and the Northsea
was also comprised.
So it might well be that someone was born in Germany and died in Denmark
without leaving his homestead.
Today there is a Suederluegum just a few miles south of the border, your
Loegum Closter will be found a few miles north. The name is spread in
Jytland as the danish say and in Schleswig as the germans say.

Was not sure where Loegumkloster was, in Germany or Denmark. Found it in
Denmark. No Boysen listings in Loegumkloster in the Denmark phone directory
on the Net at
However, there are 1181 Boysen listings in Denmark, and 1017 Boysen listings
in Germany.
Believe you must have a bit more information to tie down anything about this
family. Good luck.
