I believe this is my ancestor.. Does anyone know anything about his
ancestors?? His decendants took on the name of Lamontagne...

Anyway, there is a Johann RAUSCHENBERG of the Brunswick troops,
Who deserted in Canada in 1783, he came from 31249 Hohenhameln,

Certainly not my line, but I collected quite a few RAUSCHENBERG, cf.
then on the left side [Gen. Information] - [Rauschenberg]
I do not see a connection yet, but there do live R.'s in that area:
