looking for my german family

I'am Gonzalo Tappen and I'm Chilean citizen.
I would like to get some information about my grandfather (Gerardo
Tappen Bucholtz) who was German.
He was born between 1899-1903 in Essen o Goslar. after he arrived to

Probably Esens, not Essen.

The only two Tappens relatively close to Goslar live in Göttingen and
Kassel. According to this article
might be your grandfather came from Langlingen, not too far from Lüneburg,
where there is one Tappen entry in the phone book.

Chile between 1930-1935 and married with a chilean girl (my
grandmother), my father was born in 1941 and his sister in 1943.
unfortunately he died suddenly (appendicitis wasn't attended
opportunely) in 1944-45 and we haven't family antecedents. (my
grandmother died few years later).

We only know that he came from Goslar (probably his father was Mayor of
this city). He keep contact with some cousins in Berlin but anything
else we know.

I need request if somebody know or have relatives of my family. He
travelled to Chile to work as a agronomist in a farm.

I grew up only with a couple of pictures and I would like to have more
information about him and share it with my kids.

There are 105 Tappen entries, none in Goslar, 1 in Berlin.

You might try some letters to some of these individuals, and see if you can
get some information.
