I am one of a number of people in the UK searching for information on
Antonio (born 1831) and Felice Crolla (b 1835). Like many others they
came from Piscinico and settled in the Ancoats area of Manchester
sometime between 1874 and 1881, to become ice cream vendors and street
musicians. They had seven children, all born in Italy: Vittorio (b
1861), Eugenio (1862), Gaetano (1868), Jean (1862), Gerardo (1866),
Maria (1872) and Johanna (Giovanna -1874). Eugenio and Jean may be
twins or possibly the same person if Jean is a form of Eugenio in
Italian.

I'd appreciate any information on the parents or other family members
of Antonio & Felice.

this is the distribution in Italy of surname Crolla. In Italy doesn't
exist a locality named Piscinico, so I cannot give help to you. Do you
know the region of their provenience? Ciao Maria Luisa

kathcrolla...
Sorry Maria
I spelled it wrongly, it is Picinisco, Frosinone.

Joe Pessarra...
Believe the town is spelled as Picinisco. Italy phone directory at
has 28 Crolla listings for Picinisco, postal code 03040. Maybe some letters
of inquiry would get you some info. Good luck.

Sorry Joe, I always manage to spell it wrong. Maybe that's why Maria
didn't recognise the name!
