the USA web-search Books shows the full text only for books published before
1865. Proxify has both a free service and a subscriber service (though when
demand is heavy the free service is sometimes suspended). If you go to

Hi Tim.

They work okay. The site is both a free service and subscriber service.
In times of high demand it goes to subscriber only service. I tried
it earlier today and it was working. At the moment it seems to be
subscriber only. Chris explains the reason more succinctly than me.
