New Author Gene Stowe visits the January 2, 2007 edition of "On The
Air" to discuss his new nonfiction narrative, INHERIT THE LAND: JIM
CROW MEETS MISS MAGGIE'S WILL

In this compelling and unusal new book, Gene Stowe reveals information
about a famous court case that took center stage in North Carolina when
two wealthy white sisters wrote identical wills leaving their extensive
estate and wealth to a black man and his daugther in the Jim Crow South
of 1920. To learn more about this case and and how a jury of 12 white
men ruled in favor of the black family in a small-town courtroom in the
