It just seems to me, there is a whole lot about the issue of building a wall
along our southern borders that is not being discussed. To begin with, how
effective the wall will be is dependent on how it is designed and built it
would seem to me and I certainly don't know what kind of wall they are
talking about. Having a wall, only makes it more difficult for those on the
other side to enter this country, but it does not mean that it cannot be
done, even with a wall. So, there is still a need for catching those who do
penetrate the barrier, and I do not know what they plan to do. No one is
talking about building a wall along our entire southern border. Which too
me means there are gapping holes. Does that mean, that there will be areas
along our southern borders that people can more easily cross? I would think
that like anything built by man, that is would need to be fixed from time to
time, how much would that cost be?

It needs to be 100 feet high, and go underground for 50 feet. Made of
slick metal that cannot be climbed easily and studded with nasty
spikes over its entire surface. Surrounded by deep moats, also with
nasty spikes. The entire surface needs to be connected to sensors
that will signal any contact with it.
Have I thought of everything?

No....you forgot to get it hooked up to a reliable source of 120 v. juice to
keep the daring visitors discouraged if not outright fried.

One big explosion would take care of the wall. Then someone can use a boat
to cross your moat. Senors will work, "if" people can react to what the
sensor tells them soon enough, and "if" the sensors do not give off so many
false alarms as to make them basically useless. TV cameras would work.
