Need advise on chair lift

I would appreciate hearing from folks who have one of these -- what features
you like, don't like, etc. We have a prescription from the doc for it --
how do you go about getting Medicare to pay for part or all of it?

I saw a few on the internet and they range from $2000-2500 depending
company, features, etc.

If you are not able to climb the stairs, there are other factors you should
also be considering.

Are you able maintain your home? I.e.; Cleaning, painting, minor repairs,
etc.

How fast is your health deteriorating? Will you be able to care for
yourself, or will you require assistance (assisted living)?

I'm just trying to stimulate thought. Only you know what's right for your
situation.

After Denman Forestry Issues on the Research Channel there was a
segment that discussed the adaptation of a John Deere tractor for a
gentleman who had lost sensation below mid chest. Engineering Seniors
at John's Hopkins did it as a senior project. They included a chair
lift into their equipment.
