jimstevens...
Need some advice on where to get daily email on stock prices at close.
Just close account with one institution that sent daily report that
showed prices on stocks we hold.

Also would love to find a place that runs a ticker crawl across botton
of pc on prices!! Several years ago had a program that updated prices
on stocks and mutuals that I selected along with news. Anyone know of
anything like that around now???

Harry Thompson...
web-search desktop (in beta testing) will give you tickers on your desktop. It's
not a crawl though, just a small window.

As well, it'll call home regularly and mine all your data
indiscriminately. If you are so naive as to think they are
developing and issuing this free software because of their
benevolence, you need to visit your mental health office.

Nothing is free, it all has a price of some kind built in
and in this case I'd bet the farm, it's your privacy.

Harry Thompson...
You have a good point.

jimstevens...
Any suggestion on other source of continuous updates on pricing????

Dan...
I have been using this site for years and it constantly updates your
individual stocks and mutual funds.

Although it gives you the capability of listing the stock, the date of
purchase, and how many shares, etc, I only list the symbols.

When I call out the page (it is my browser home page), I have an
instantaneous read out of stock prices. If you have Microsoft Office,
you can transfer this date easily to an Excel spreadsheet.

Hope this helps.

jimstevens...
Thank you Dan.

I looked at it and will give it a whirl.

This time of the year is good to do such as into taxes.

If you were using the Firefox browser, I'd recommend an available
extensions from page:

Since Mozilla is all open source and the software writers have no axe to
grind, I would trust them.

If you're not using the firefox browser, you outta be...........8^)

jimstevens...
Have been using FF for quite a while and it is very good.

Very nice!! Quick install and entry of stock. Thanks a bunch Sordo.

My pleasure. Helping out a fellow traveler is a pleasant diversion from
the daily chores of culling the sick, perverse and lame from the herd.

I have always used YAHOO Finance and just go to the bottom of the page and
"dowload spreadsheet" and I've just never seen the need to change.

Thanks for any help with either
