Ok, I will admit to a curiosity as to what on earth you are talking
about. Did Robertson actually claim the mine disaster was God's rath? I
have seen nothing about it in any news report. Telling us what you are

We don't know the reputations of the prophets in the Old Testament but
I'll bet they were called worse things than lying weasels.

Don't think we should believe anyone who purports to speak for the
'Lord'. If 'He' wants to speak to us, I think we'll be able to figure
it out for ourselves.

That's the problem. Robertson's power base think they have figured
it out.
That's not a dismissive remark - aamof I have asked around a little
among my fundie neighbors back home. They tend to be very shaky on the
difference between "the Lord" and "speaking for the Lord".
