10 nights ago we tied a record low for the date set in 1947.
Yesterday we tied a record high for the date of 101 that was set in
1981.
The weather for the past two years had not been normal. Maybe the
people who are warning of global warming are right.

Nonsense. There's no such thing as global warming.
Human activity has nothing whatsoever to do with the
global warming. The United states contributes
essentially nothing to the human activity that's tipping
the world into global warming.
Haven't you been following this group?
"Necessity is the plea for every infringement of human freedom: it is the
argument of tyrants; it is the creed of slaves" -- Wm. Pitt the Younger

Seems most of the country is experiencing a heat wave. Even San
Diego is hotter than usual -- up to 85 one day and more low 80's
expected. Hotter in parts of the city, but on the beaches there
is a breeze and compared to many places, not too bad. Still, I'll
be pleased when the temps recede to the mid 70s or so, and I've
been doing things very early in the mornings. It does cool off at
night and doesn't really heat up until noon. I have no air
conditioner -- not even a fan, although I will get the latter to move
outside air in. It is 5 degrees or so cooler outdoors and the breezes
help a lot. New York City was scorching and I'm glad I am not
there.

So why don't you buy a Prius? Did it ever occur to you that if it was
the coldest summer on record, that would also be attributed to global
warming? If it was the most normal summer in history, would the global
warming mantra slow in the slightest?
'Did Increasing Solar Activity Drive 20th-Century Global Warming?
Volume 9, Number 29: 19 July 2006"
"In light of these real-world-based observations, plus the multitude
of studies that indicate most climate changes of the past were clearly
associated with changes in solar activity (see Solar Effects in our
Subject Index), the case for anthropogenic CO2 emissions playing
anything more than a minor role in contemporary global warming would
appear to be fading fast."
"It is useless to attempt to reason a man out of what he was never reasoned into."
Jonathan Swift

And do you honestly believe that a total record with only about
100 data points will fail to have records randomly established
in almost any year.
You do after all have 700 opportunities during the year to
establish a record.
