In a dutch oven heat 2 tablespoons of oil add one chopped bell pepper,
one chopped medium onion, and 1-2 cloves of garlic. stir for a moment
don't let the vegetables wilt.
add 4 cups of liquid; water, thinned turkey gravy or boullion or a
combination of all three.
Cover, bring to a boil and simmer 5 minutes.
Add 2 cups of turkey meat, one small can of sliced mushrooms with the
water, and 1-2 cups of diced ham (you may also add 2 cups of peeled
shrimp, cooked sausage or roast beef or any combination), just don't
over do it with the meats.
Add a bay leaf and salt & pepper to taste and a pinch of bouquet garni
or herbes de provence if you have it
add two cups of raw rice
cover and cook 30 minutes or so at low heat, you can also cover and
cook in the oven at 350=B0 for 30 minutes, remove from heat and let 5
minutes or so. Uncover fluff he rice and serve as a one-course dish

Or buy a box of Zatarain's Jambalaya Mixes.
Great stuff.

Zatarain's.
IMO the worst tasting stuff on the market.
Elders tend to not like it, youngsters do.
Perhaps OK if you were raised in NO.
I vastly prefer plain rice with my own simple
spices added, if any.
I bought 48 assorted boxes at Amazon. Gave 37
away after experimenting with 11 trying to make palatable.
Ended up throwing out most all preparations.
