What are the rules for kicking someone out of Congress?

If you're going to ask 100 questions a day, why not learn how to spell
it???????????????/

The first time I learned I had a problem with spelling was when I was in
elementary school. My teacher "tried" in vain to teach me to be a better
speller, but she and everyone who followed her was unsuccessful. But in
this case, it is not that I do not know how to spell, it was simple laziness
on my part, by not proofreading what I had just typed. Did I do a better
job this time?

You did fine, Jer. Any more questions?
No? OK, my thought is that its not laziness; there is a message in
your mispelling; "quiestion" contains four words, which if arranged in
certain ways, is obviously a statement, probably for yourself.
question, quiet, quest, quit.

AFAIK Congress alone decides who stays on.

FYI:
According to Article 1 Section 5 Clause 2 of the US Constitution,
“each House may determine the Rules of its Proceedings, punish its Members for
disorderly Behavior, and, with the Concurrence of two thirds, expel a Member.”

1798
Senator is first and only member of Congress to be Impeached
Senator William Blount of Tennessee was the first federal official to be
impeached by the House of Representatives. He was impeached for treason
because of his involvement in a plot to help the British seize Louisiana
and Florida from Spain. It was argued during the impeachment discussion
on the House floor, that the House of Representatives did not have the
power to impeach members of either the House or the Senate. In response,
on January 14, 1799 the Senate decided it had no jurisdiction to sit as
an impeachment jury in a trial of one of its own members. Instead they
disciplined Blount under Senate rules and expelled him. Since then,
House has never again impeached a member of Congress.

I don't know. But by letting Foley resign instead of throwing him out,
Hastert guaranteed him his $100,000 a year for life pension. That
act alone should be criminal.
I suppose the Speaker did it because he felt that "there, but for the
grace of God, go I". These guys are not only as thick as thieves
they look after each other. Don't we wish they'd look after America
as well ?
