A "REAL" U.S. President's opinion regarding immigrants ..................

The year is 1907.....
but the speaker knew what he was talking about.

Theodore Roosevelt's ideas on Immigrants and being an AMERICAN in 1907.

"In the first place, we should insist that if the immigrant who comes here
in good faith becomes an American and assimilates himself to us, he shall be
treated on an exact equality with everyone else, for it is an outrage to
discriminate against any such man because of creed, or birthplace, or
origin. But this is predicated upon the person's becoming in every facet an
American, and nothing but an American...There can be no divided allegiance
here. Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn't an
American at all. We have room for but one flag, the American flag... We have
room for but one language here, and that is the English language... and we
have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American
people."

Yes. But "Comprehsive Amnesty" is not the plan that will work.

My fondest dream would be for a plan that "sticks" and "works". Otherwise,
we are fast on our way to chaos, bedlam, mayhem, and blood running in the
streets. Much like the Middle East.

Yet all we hear nowadays is "multi-culturism" this, and "diversity" that.
The melting pot worked, but it isn't used anymore.

When it actually was, in fact, a "melting pot", it worked quite well.

You have only to look at the Supreme Court to find members of almost all of
those oppressed groups.....Scalia, Alito, Thomas, Ginsburg. The Marine Corps is
known as the Irish Mafia because of the disproportionate number of Irish at its
upper levels.....in addition, those folks Americans are so proud of have their
ranks full of blacks and Hispanics. A Hispanic(Gonzalez) is our Attorney
General. There's hardly a community of any size in the nation that doesn't
contain a Chinese restaurant and most all of them are popular and financial
successes.

Melting pot? I think so, and a pretty good functioning one at that! It's a
place where, as that recent Army slogan went, you could be all that you could
be. Is everybody a millionaire? Of course not....is there a place in this
world where everyone is?

Times have changed, our culture has changed, technology has changed, the
World has changed, our enemies have changed, and our national
identity/sovereignty is at stake. Our enemies are ruthless and inhumane in
every way.

We must survive.
